While OnePlus works dutifully toward unifying the OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T Oxygen OS branches, it's pushing out individual, separate upgrades in the interim. On Thursday, the most recent of those updates — this one for the OnePlus 5T — was released, and it brings improvements to the camera, battery, vibration motor, Face Unlock, and speakers, as well as optimizations throughout the system.
It's version 4.7.4 of OxygenOS, and it's rolling out to the OnePlus 5T starting today. Don't fret if you don't see it right away, though — only a small percentage of devices will see the update initially, and as long as it isn't prematurely stopped as a result of bugs, more will get it every day.
Besides general bug fixes and system stability improvements, OnePlus says the update improves overall photo quality and "optimizes" the camera application's user interface. The OnePlus 5T's external speaker and earphone quality have received unspecified "enhancements," and the reliability of the fingerprint and GPS sensors have been improved.
