New Release Radio on Google Play Music is Now Available for Everyone

Google has officially announced that New Release Radio is now available to all users of Google Play Music.

If New Release Radio sounds familiar to you, that's because it was first introduced as an exclusive feature to the Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+. Samsung's partnership with Google to bring exclusive Play Music features to the S8 lineup was somewhat of a curveball when it was announced at the S8 unveiling in New York City, but in any case, we're thrilled to see that one of this feature is now available for everyone.

New Release Radio is a custom-made radio station from Google that uses the company's own machine learning technology to provide a station of recently released songs that Google thinks you'll enjoy based off of your own personal music tastes.

As per Google's Tech Lead Manager of Google Play Music, Dharti Dhami –

"The station uses machine learning to select singles and album releases from the past two weeks based on your listening history and musical preferences. It's a really quick way to check out all-new music that's tailored just for you."

Google says that it took feedback from what users of the S8/S8+ had to say about New Release Radio prior to this official release, so the service should now work better than ever before.

If you want to give New Release Radio a try, open up Google Play Music and search for "New Release Radio." Additionally, the new radio station will also appear on your main Google Play Music home screen.
